Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

At Orbit Maths, we aim to keep SATs practice safe and simple. This policy explains what data is used when children and families use the app.

1. What We Collect

Orbit does not require accounts, names, email addresses, photos, contacts, or location data. We do not ask children to create a profile.

2. Data Stored on Device

The app stores progress data locally on your device (for example: unlocked planets, fuel/progress, and onboarding state) using secure local storage. This lets the app remember progress between sessions.

3. Mission Control (AI Help) Requests

If the user taps Get Help in a drill, the app sends only the minimum practice context needed: question text, correct answer, and the answer entered by the user. This is sent to our serverless endpoint and then to Google Gemini to generate feedback.

Please do not enter personal information in answer fields. Orbit is designed for numeric/math answers only.

4. Third-Party Services

Orbit uses:
- Netlify Functions to handle Mission Control requests
- Google Gemini API to generate AI feedback

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking, or in-app analytics tools.

5. Children's Privacy

Orbit is intended for children and families preparing for KS2 SATs maths. We design the app to minimize data collection and avoid collecting direct personal information from children. Parents/guardians should supervise use of internet-connected features.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with service providers needed to run the optional Mission Control feature.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will always show the latest version.
